The Redhead jetted bathtub water temperature maintenance heater has been designed to the highest safety standards to accommodate Jacuzzi, Whirlpool, and most other makes and models of hydrotherapy bathtubs. The Redhead line of heaters  has been  granted Listing status by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) as a Listed Hydromassage Bath Accessory Heater suitable for field installation. This was accomplished by ensuring that a Listed Redhead bath heater, bearing the familiar UL Listed mark, would be installed in the field on jetted bathtubs that were manufactured with Aquatemp’s patent pending Heater Reddy™ heater installation fitting present in the bathtub’s piping system.

Through factory installation of the Heater Reddy fitting, the location of the bath heater would be established and homeowners, using simple tools no more complicated than a screwdriver or pliers, could easily accomplish installation of the bathtub heater. It is also acknowledged that not all jetted bathtubs will have a Heater Reddy fitting installed, as would be the case with older retrofit installations. Redheadheater.com has addressed this by (a) designing the bathtub heater to make proper installation a simple matter, and (b) by preparing the installation instructions for non-Listed bath heaters to accommodate field installation in bathtubs ( jacuzzi and whirlpool styles ) that do not have the Heater Reddy fitting installed.
