Your
Redhead Hydromassage Bathtub Water Temperature Maintenance Heater has
been designed and engineered to allow the bather to select his or her
desired bathing temperature by adjusting the water temperature of the
water while filling the bathtub, and then the maintenance heater
automatically takes over to maintain the temperature selected. The
Redhead heater utilizes Patent Pending SmartSense Technology to
automatically sense the bath water temperature that you have selected,
and without any additional intervention on your part, maintains
that pre-selected bath water temperature for the normal bathing
duration.
Once
properly installed, there is no required preventive maintenance or
adjustment necessary to keep your Redhead heater operating for years.
Unlike heaters of lesser technology typically found on low end
hydromassage bathtubs, the Redhead heater is designed to ensure that
there will never be a need to reset a tripped over-limit device, even if
the bathtub is filled with high temperature bath water initially.
Nuisance tripping is a thing of the past with the Redhead heater.
So,
now is the time to sit back, relax in your hydromassage bathtub, and let
the state-of-the-art Redhead heater effortlessly help you soak away your
tensions. Thank you for your decision to have your hydromassage bathtub
heated with the Redhead heater. We appreciate your confidence in
selecting our product.
The
following sections of this manual will help you should your Redhead
heater ever fail to function as designed, or should you need to contact
us for any reason.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom 1
Heater will not maintain the
desired water temperature I wish to maintain.
Action
a.
Check to make sure there is electrical power to the heater. An ON light is
located on the top of the heater electrical enclosure and is ON whenever the
heater is heating.
b.
If no ON light is seen, test electrical outlet that heater is plugged into for
power.
c.
If
no power at electrical outlet, restore power to outlet
d.
If
heater ON light won't come on, check:
1.
Blocked
suction fitting (remove blockage from suction fitting)
2.
Blocked
jet(s) (remove blockage from jet(s)
3.
Adjustable
jets turned OFF (open all jets)
4.
Water
below top of jets (add more water to tub)
5.
Pump
not running (turn ON jet pump)
6.
Pump is cavitating (check suction piping for leaks
and turn pump OFF/ON)
Symptom 2
Heater light
is ON, but I cant feel hot water coming out of the jets.
Action
a.
You will
not feel hot water coming out of the jets, as the heater is designed to simply
maintain the water temperature, not heat up a cold bath. Add more hot water, and the heater will
maintain the warmer temperature you have selected.
Symptom 3
Heater trips the Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupter (GFCI) whenever it comes ON.
Action
a. Unplug
heater from power source receptacle and test GFCI by pushing TEST button on GFCI
if GFCI does not trip or reset, replace GFCI.
b.
If GFCI tests OK, immediately unplug heater from power source
c.
Return the
heater to Dealer that supplied it, for service, OR
d.
Leave
heater installed in plumbing, unplugged from the power source and contact
Aquatemp Service Department by calling, faxing, or online as indicated below. A replacement heater can be delivered to you
in one day after your call is received, anywhere in the USA.
Symptom 4
I cant find any
controls on my heater
Action
a.
Your heater has no user controls.
All functions are automatic and no adjustment is necessary to maintain
the desired bath water temperature. No
user serviceable components are located inside your heaters electrical
enclosure and removing the electrical enclosure from the heater body will void
your Limited Warranty.
